Mark and Annabel’s mountain wedding was nothing short of breathtaking! The beauty of Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff National Park was the perfect backdrop for this summer wedding, and their love of skiing and the outdoors made this a perfect location for them. Annabel spent hours and hours preparing gorgeous details that added just the right amount of whimsy and romance to the day. There were also many personal touches that tied into their love of travel, like the carpets that they both have acquired on various travels as the aisle runner, and the globe that was used as a guestbook. Hera Weddings and Events were on top of coordinating all the details and displays that were located in the Wapiti Longhouse and the Wine Cellar, as well as the amazing setting for the ceremony in the meadow overlooking the Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, and were key to the flow of the day. It did threaten to rain, but held off until after the gorgeous ceremony in the meadow. A little bit of rain on a wedding day is said to be good luck anyway! 😉 We then stole away to Bankhead, a former mining town just north of Banff which is now deserted, to take some fun wedding photos of just the two of them. The lovely couple took every opportunity to enjoy this time alone on their day and we captured some very special moments. The ceremony was back at Buffalo Mountain lodge, and after toasts and a beautiful first dance, it was time to party! It truly was a perfect day.
Congratulations Mark & Annabel! It was an honor to capture your special day, and I wish you all the best in the years to come!
Love to all,
Em 🙂
A need to exchange a few items, created a sweet little “You can’t see me, but I will see you soon” moment!Quite possibly the most adorable bridal party ever… 🙂And after speeches, toasts, and the first dance…the party started!
